| My son loves the pod race and for what ever strange reason Darth Maul. I love Darth Maul, but its ok I’m 31, he’s 2 &1/2. Anyway by accident I threw on the big PM music video with the dialog which I haven’t seen since PM hit the theaters. About 3/4 the way through the song you hear maul rambling some cut-scene dialog that was pretty heavy. Any idea were this would have come to play in PM?

Yeah i think its when Darth Maul first talks to Lord Sidious. '' At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge" or is it this one "Fear. Fear attracts the fearful. The strong. The weak. The innocent. The corrupt. Fear. Fear is my ally."

| It might have just been a TV commercial. Had nothing to be in the movie....was more for PR....the Qui-gon, Amidala, Shmi, Anakin or Maul's....

If you have the TPM on DVD, you'll find the Darth Maul Tone Poem on disc 2 (along with all the TV commercials) It was part of a series of 4 used as promotional ads on TV and available for download on starwars.com.
When they made the "Duel of the Fates" music video (which aired on MTV) they used the Darth Maul poem; probably because nearly everything used to promote TPM involved Maul in some form of another to narrate and introduce some of the main characters for a bit.
Also, the lines were NEVER used in the movie or the novelization...pg. 136 (by Terry Brooks) if anyone is curious.

Is that the same Terry Brooks that started the Elfstones of Shannara about 20+ years ago (and still seems to be writing them!) ?

Yeah, the same one!
Does anyone else find it ironic that he got into writing Star Wars stuff, when the people (Greg and Tim Hildebrant, right?) who did the original artwork for his covers of the Shannara books had done artwork for Star Wars, too?
