My name is Josh, I'm 29 and I currently live in Dellroy, and have been a Star Wars fan for as long as I can remember. I've been interested in costuming for the last year or so and it's always nice to meet like-minded individuals.
Thanks for the membership, and I hope to see and/or speak with some of you in the future.

Welcome to JKOC!
Always good to meet another local SW fan.
After I did a quick Google search of where Dellroy is, found out that you're right next to Atwood Lake. My family used to make frequent trips down there for cookouts on the lake and a round or two of golf.
What kinds of costumes were you thinking about starting? We've got guys from both 501st and Rebel Legion who can help you out.

Are you down with the fluffy quickness?
1337: n. 1. Nestled between 1336 and 1338, 1337 is commonly known as a number, or for the more advanced; an "integer"
2. Often misused to satisfy a laymen's ego, the self-proclaimed 1337 will misuse the title, pretending to hold "Xtr3m H4x0r" capabilties while in fact anonymously hassling n00b's with better things to do than play mindrot such as Everquest and Warcraft. |

I've been more interested in doing expanded universe type costumes like KOTOR(Would like to do a Mandalore, and a Darth Revan). I can sew well enough, but would'nt know where to begin when it comes to the actual armor. So any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks once again for having me here.
P.S. What's the best fabric for making Jedi costumes?

::Yells really loudly::
"Hey DWH, another KOTOR fan!"
Yeah, anywho, for a Jedi costume, you've got a lot of options. I think if you're going for a Rebel Legion standard one it's gotta be regular earth-tone colors. I don't know that there's a "best" fabric. I know the stuff I got for the cloak was really heavy and the other stuff was just typical dollar-table tan/white. I think it's kind of a preference thing.
