I know George has a thing for digital imagery in the prequels. But I haven't heard anything about a digital Vader. Without giving out spoiler details, has anyone heard if Lucas is going to use a digital Vader for anything in Episode III?

I remember seeing some behind the scenes (I think it was on the DVDs) with Hayden and several Darth Vader helmets; I dunno, but I've a feeling that they'll have a non-CGI Darth Vader (at least I hope so)

Well I know Vader will be played by Hayden in the suit... but I didn't know if there were any effects shots that would require a digital double (for example Obi-Wan jumping out of the window to grab the assassin droid in AOTC) where Vader would be digital. However, I hope there aren't any such shots in the movie... I'd prefer Vader to be live-action for all of his scenes.

Aside from having Vader do the Macerana...can't imagine anything GL would need that an actor in a suit couldn't do?

| Put it this way. I've heard some details about what they're using the Digital Vader for, and there is one. Spoiler-free, remember.

Yes, thank you for the spoiler-free courtesy, I really appreciate it. But it is cool to hear that there may be a digital Vader in the works.

I for one have not heard ANYTHING about a digital Darth and nor would it fit into the storyline at all.

Interesting, you two obviously know different things to make you disagree over a digital Vader. You've piqued my curiosity, which takes a lot considering how much I know about this movie. Feel free to take the spoiler aspect of this discussion into the spoiler thread, I'm interested in hearing the reasons for your opposing views.
I'd personally prefer to see a live-action Vader the whole time. The more live-action, the better. CGI effects can be awesome but I'm definitely not the only person on the planet that thinks Lucas overuses them.
