In the latest Insider magazine, there was a section at the begining where someone asked if any of the stormtroopers in the original trilogy were clones. According to Insider, the stormtroopers in the original trilogy were clones (not all of them, but a good amount). My problem with this is that in the Thrawn Trilogy, Luke can sense a disturbance in the Force (or something like that...I haven't read the books in a few years) when the stormtroopers are clones, and not regular humans. I'd always figured that the clones died off before Ep. IV, but Insider has printed something different. If this is the case, why wasn't Obi-Wan (or any other Jedi for that matter, or even Luke prior to the Thrawn Trilogy) able to sense them, and if he or any other Jedi was able to, why wasn't this mentioned? Anyone else have any ideas?

the disturbance may be caused because the clones were growen outside of the force(if i rember right).

Obi-WanJay is correct, the disturbance was only from Thrawn's clones.

HA! Yeah, I knew that there was something involved with that, hence the harvesting of Ylsarmi. Now I remember...

Yes, the majority of the OT stormtroopers were clones, however, there were a bunch of different donors that the clones were made of. The one Insider's Holonet News had an advertisement soliciting people to become clone donors. So, if your average Joe Schmo in the galaxy just wants to make a few extra bucks, he can donate some of his DNA to the clone army. However, he wouldn't necessarily have Jango's expertise in combat, explaining why the stormtroopers in the OT aren't nearly as effective as the clonetroopers of the prequels.

Hmmm... I wonder how I missed that one... Holonet news in one of my favorite sections.
