 Post subject: I have a Question???

Ok i was watching ROTS again yesturday and i caught something i had not seen before.  When the movie opens and you see Ankin and Obi-Wan flying and right before the battle starts you see a Republic attack cruiser a.k.a StarDestroyer fire a beam like weapon from its hanger. Now for thoes that have played Battle Front II it looks like one of those weapons. But i have never fired the one from the hanger.  Any body have any thoughts.

Maybe they had to relocate the weapon due to damage?

I haven't played much of the BF2 (Clone Wars era) space battles, but I do know that both the Rebel Cruiser and Imperial Star Destroyers have the same kinda energy beam weapons like the one you see in the opening of ROTS. Probably just for the convience of keeping the space battle levels consistant between eras (since you never saw either ship use a beam weapon like that) Granted I'm not crazy enough to fly directly under a Imperial Star Destroyer to find out if it has a large-scale beam weapon firing from outside the hanger bay.

I believe you CAN fire cannons from the inside of the ships in BF2... however, it's been about a month since I've last played. But yeah, I think you can fire at other ships.

| Yes. You have to go into the main room. There's a big column in the middle of the room. Go up to one of the computers and hit triangle (for Ps2) It will give you a limited view of the outside of the ship and you will be able to fire a nice blue beam weapon.

Yeah but you fire from the veiw on the top not the bottom. I have been playing BF2 most of my free time laty and i have never been able to fire from the hanger.

Well, if you ask me, if you have a target that is below you, your gonna want some kind of firepower that can shoot stuff below you, and being it's in the hanger, it's less likely to be fired apon in a battle

| There is no gun in the hangar. Except you. Man, that's wierd. I haven't played BF2 since the week it came out and I still remember all this.
