Dude, can you believe it's only been 1 year since 1201 and the "JKOC louge." That was a fun (and exhausting) weekend!
1201
Opening weekend

| Wow I can't believe it's been a year already. That night was so great. One of those times you'll never forget waiting at the theatre a good 8 hours just walking around talking to everyone. And then the tv crews showing up. It was just a once in a lifetime event. One that I know I will never forget.

Ah, yes. One year since pretty much the worst day of my life...

Funny you should mention that, I almost went back and edited that post to include the Denny's trip.

Just curious WHY you'd say that?

Maybe cause the franchise is done as far as new movies go?

Well , lets just say that I'd been planning on going to the midnight showing of ROTS since November of '04. I preordered my tickets ASAP and invited a bunch of friends to go with me. I had plans to go in costume and be there at least an hour or so early (I'd hoped to go after school on the 18th to wait at the theater for a LONG time, just for the fun of it, but my dad wasn't too keen on that idea...). Anyhow, to make a LONG story short, after all of the anticipation (and keeping my grades really high to ensure that I'd be able to go) and after buying the book, reading it, and looking forward to it being my first time (and last opportunity) to see a Star Wars episode on the big screen at midnight (I wasn't going to go through all the problems that I did when I skipped school opening day to see Episode II, so that was out of the question, anyway), my ride got cancelled.
I was so bothered by it, that I woke up at about 1:30 and thought something to the effect of "I can't believe I'm missing it! Everyone, even people who don't like this stuff half as much as I do, are seeing it, and I'm home in bed! " So, that's my horrible story of why I still cringe when it gets brought up. Anywho, that's my Star Wars let down/crisis/nightmare of a lifetime. Anyone got a better one?

I'm sorry to hear that ,i went and saw it with a family members day of and had a good time. Now my twin brother went and saw it on opening night and said he had a blast. Yes there were people dressed inculding someguy guys dressed up as Jesus. I'm thinking he wanted to give his blessing on opening night...

I can relate with that one, I think part of the reason Emily got away with going/doing both a LOTR marathon and ROTS opening 1201 was that I was there with her. For most parents it seems more an issue of knowing that you're with someone who'll make sure nothing happens to ya...
...then your ride bails, and that just sucks!

Probably the best time I've had at a SW movie premiere was that day. The other two were fun also, but this one was great.
