Yeah, not looking good for me either. Might not be a bad idea to have something going on that weekend for all the people who can't make it.

seeing the tickit prices pretty much seals that cheryl and i will be staying in cleveland; unless we win the lottery or rob a brinks truck(neither is going to happen). i so wanted to go with it being the 30th anniversary and all.

Unless the slot machines in Vegas are real generous in Dec. I won't be going either. *sigh* Sometimes it's just depressing being financially responsible.

I think that would be a great idea. If you don't want to make it a baptism we can still have a welcome the kiwi party.

Sadly it is far cheaper to go to Vegas than C4. My only out of pocket expenses will be airfair, food, maybe a rental car and what I lose at the slots. By the time you add airfare and hotel to C4 I've already spent more than at Vegas and that doesn't include visits to the C4 store! Since I will most likely be buying a new car next year I need to save my money.

Are you down with the fluffy quickness?
1337: n. 1. Nestled between 1336 and 1338, 1337 is commonly known as a number, or for the more advanced; an "integer"
2. Often misused to satisfy a laymen's ego, the self-proclaimed 1337 will misuse the title, pretending to hold "Xtr3m H4x0r" capabilties while in fact anonymously hassling n00b's with better things to do than play mindrot such as Everquest and Warcraft. |

D. I. A. P. E. R. Diaper. Something you will become far too familiar with in a few months but I'm sure you'll do a very good job.

| It's a [I can't say that word] job, Brian, but someone has to do it.

Wishful thinking on my part:
I hope there are left over pieces from the art show being sold on shop.starwars.com from John Alvin (the official posted, not his limited edition print), Tsuneo Sando, Dave Seely, Malcolm Tween, Jerry VanderStelt, and maybe Cat Skaggs. Not even I'm delusional enough to think the McQuarrie pieces will last, even if they're unsigned and he isn't there. Also, there are more artists to be announced.
Aside from my hotel, the art show was where I spent the most amount of money last time. It is (so far) the only thing I regret not being able to attend at CIV. There are no autographs I want. There are no Q and A's I want to go to, but I would love to have some of those prints.
Oh, well. One can hope.

| Not attending CIV isn't really about money. I could go, there just isn't enough to see that I want to go. I was looking at some of the art prints, though, and think they're cool.
