Ducks? Ducks?!?!?!

I was really confussed when I saw this on the home page of starwars.com :
Databank: Ducks

One could make an awsome therory on this. Ducks are on of the oldest creatures in the universe and somehow have not evolved in all these years. Since Star Wars takes place a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...how did ducks make it all the way to Earth and how did they not evolve? Are they like the Cows that I warn people about?

Captain Panaka was heard to lament the likelihood of their being hit by Trade Federation cannonades. He likened their position to being "sitting ducks."
You think they decided to make an entry in the online database, before the fans came up with some weird explanation, and had a lil fun in the process? Just a thought.

And in case anyone else was curious, the link to "Shop" on the duck database entry found no matches...but there's is an alternate online store.

I thought the entry was a stunt originally included to commemorate the premiere of Howard the Duck...

Official Sitedom doesn't usually seem that concerned about our questions and theories, after all, or they'd have explained why Obi-Wan assumed a bogus first name, but not a last (Is Kenobi like Smith here?), or why he told Luke he hadn't gone by "Obi-Wan" since before Luke was born, or why the fighter tactics at Yavin made no sense at all, or why Obi-Wan told Luke Yoda had trained him, when it was in fact Qui-Gon, or...any dozen or two other things.

It was, according to the "Behind the Scenes" button:

If you read the novelization of Star Wars, Obi-wan goes to Luke, "Well, if it quacks like a duck."

Then Luke goes, "what's a duck?"
