By Karen Traviss, latest of the Legacy of the Force novels, that is--Anyone else reading it?

just got it today and covered about 60 pages on my lunch break...
it's... hmmm... interesting... KT did well with the Republic Commando series, but this one is very important...
all of SW-fandom has already formed his/her own opinion of Fett. if KT can't live up to that, she'll always be the author that "ruined" him...

Are you down with the fluffy quickness?
1337: n. 1. Nestled between 1336 and 1338, 1337 is commonly known as a number, or for the more advanced; an "integer"
2. Often misused to satisfy a laymen's ego, the self-proclaimed 1337 will misuse the title, pretending to hold "Xtr3m H4x0r" capabilties while in fact anonymously hassling n00b's with better things to do than play mindrot such as Everquest and Warcraft. |

Your patience is admirable. I stormed Borders as early as I could Tuesday.

Important, indeed. Avoiding spoilers... I'm 58 pages in, so far, it's not quite as deftly written as the Allston novel preceeding it, but it's still several cuts above so much of what we've been served up in the P.U. (and that's not a typo), and well worth reading. The only major problem I see is in the characterization of Solo and the princess: it's a little...off. But it's early, yet, so there are still plenty of pages for it to improve.
And one little detail, definitely non-spoiler: it looks to me as if Luke's (and Leia's) age has been changed again; best I recall, last time they were given an official age at the time of ANH, it was 20, but in this novel it's given as 18...

Personal opinion of Fett: Self-propelled scenery. With a couple of lines. But that was before the Prequels. So much has been written, rewritten, unwritten, about Fett before that and since, I'm not sure a single author can really do sustainable damage to Fett. So far, I'm finding the Fett sections the most readable, the most enjoyable.
And, in case anyone's wondering, yes, my opinion of Fett has changed since the Prequels: Walking scenery, with a couple of lines, and an official back story, a pale shadow of his old man Jango.
Jango fought well against Jedi Masters. Boba...bought the farm in Luke's little slapstick show on the skiff...

You're still working on the X-Wing novels? Well, I don't feel so bad about letting them gather dust these last few years...
Good luck and a speedy recovery from the surgery, BTW.

No, Ma'am. Absolutely not. If I post anything more analytical, I'll make sure it's plastered with spoiler warnings. What's the policy hereaabout on spoiler space?

probably reading "betrayal" wouldn't hurt... i don't think you have to go through the entire NJO series...
Kim does, but that's because i'm making her do it...

| Just finished Bloodlines. Thought it was pretty good, not quite as good as Betrayal.

I picked this one up sunday and I'm almost done with it. I can't seem to put it down.

Lol, I was in waldens today and looked at the cover of it and was like...BOBA!!!! So I naturally picked it up and decided to read the prologue. After reading the prologue I just had to buy it, so I shall begin reading soon.
Oh, and on another note, I was flipping through the new star wars insider and found in the back a couple pics of RL and 501st at Cosi for opening weekend and was like SWEET!
