Good god that was bad. Legacy is the comic set 130 years after the Battle of Yavin. In it, the Empire has returned to power led by Darth Krayt while the true leader of the Empire hides in exile leading hit-and-run attacks on Krayt's regieme. Meanwhile, the Jedi are on the run from both.

The story centers around a charming young rogue who meets a princess on the run from the Sith and his attempts to rescue her and lead her to safety.

Whoa, it's like deja vu all over again.

Difference is, the rogue isn't really all that charming. In fact, he's kind of a jerk (I want to use a harsher term, but I won't; use your imagination). Sadly, his name is Cade Skywalker. After the fall of the Jedi Academy, he's gone into hiding and lived as a bounty hunter, turning his back on the Jedi.

Fate, however brings him into contact with Princess Sia Fel, daughter of Emperor-in-exile, Roan Fel. She's being chased by Krayt's Sith warriors, hoping to find Fel and kill him once and for all.

The most disappointing thing about this comic is that it's done by some great creators. John Ostrander and Jan Duursema are the team for Star Wars comics. But this book is just plain dull. It's like someone took all the fun and adventure of the movies (well, the OT) and sucked all of that out and replaced it with "serious" drama. None of the characters are anything close to likeable; there is no hero in the book. Cade, like I said, is a jerk. And the Sith all look like He-Man villains.

Just not a good book.
