Greetings everyone!
I recently joined the jkoc (right before the star wars spectacular @ blossom, which was amazing). I've been a huge star wars fan since I discovered it & I've finally joined a local group (yes!). Anyhow, this is my introduction.

Welcome to the boards Frankie. Just don't do any slicing around me unless it involves a pizza.

Hey all!
1st: I've been looking all over the site & haven't found anything about the meeting (supposedly on the 13th). Where is it & is it going to happen?
2nd: I have noticed that there is no fan fiction posted. I am assuming that this slot is for stories that can be submitted. Is this a correct assumption & can I post some of my own stuff?
Thanks,
Ghent

your meeting question is answered above... as for the Fan Fiction slot... do you mean the forum? or the topic on the main page?
also, your permissions have recently been updated to allow you to read through several other areas as well as post replies...
let me know if you have any problems...

Ooo, another person to post fan fiction? I'm a nerd. Shameless, I am... but you should post stuff anyway!
Oh yeah, and welcome to the boards.

Hi all!
I'm responding to those of you with questions from my intro. I'm not sure that I'm doing this right, but I don't seem to be of high enough rank to "respond", yet, so let me know how I'm supposed to respond if I'm not doing this right.
To jedi_bmack:
I think I'm having trouble replying 'cause it wouldn't let me do so. Also, I'm looking to post some of my fan fiction 'cause I've been writing stories since 4th grade & haven't gotten much feedback from actual star wars fans, so I'd like to post some of my own if that's possible.
To jedimasterjb:
Yes, my nickname is "Ghent" from the Thrawn trilogy.
And finally, here's a part of my intro I forgot:
I made my nickname "Ghent_the_Slicer", based off of "Ghent" from the thrawn trilogy. For any of you who haven't read it, a slicer is basically a comuter geek/hacker/cryptologist (in roleplaying terms, a slicer is a "tech specialist").

Just thought I'd mention this:
"Ghent" is pronounced the way it looks, minus the "g". It's "g" in "gundark", not a "j" sound...
Just thought I'd mention it 'cause a lot of people seem to think it's different. Not that it bugs me or anything...
