 NASA Glenn "Stargazing and More" - May 6th
NASA Glenn Research Center is hosting a full day of events to celebrate National Astronomy Day (May 6th) at the NASA Glenn Visitor Center. And what better way to celebrate looking at the stars of our own solar system then with a bit of "a galaxy far, far away."

On Saturday, May 6th local members of Ohio Garrison and Rebel Legion will be making an appearance at the third annual "Stargazing and More" event. Guests will have a chance to meet their favorite Star Wars characters from Noon-8:00pm.

NASA Glenn Research Center has a full day of activities and presentations for guests to enjoy:

Auditorium Programs (Space is limited, so arrive early to get your tickets)

11:00am - Twinkle Tots: Toddler program with laser light dancing and magic!

12:00pm - Comet Making: Science creates a comet right before your eyes!

1:00pm - A Tour of the Solar System: Virtual tour of the latest Solar System discoveries!

2:00pm - How to Choose a Telescope: The Cuyahoga Astronomical Association shows you how to choose the best telescope for you and your family.

3:00pm - What's New with Hubble? The latest images and discoveries!

4:00pm - Cassini & Mars Rover Updates: The latest discoveries of these exciting missions.

5:00pm - The Moon: Details about how and why we are returning to the moon.

6:00pm - Our Beautiful Universe: Learn about the wonders of our universe.

7:00pm - The ABC's of Star Gazing: Get the latest tips to use your telescope effectively.

All-day solar and night telescope viewing, weather permitting.

Starlab Dome (noon-7:00pm)
Enjoy the night sky sights and sounds indoors. This fun, educational 20-minute program teaches about constellations and stars.

Vision for Space Exploration Experience (10:00am-8:00pm)
Take a virtual field trip to the moon, Mars and beyond and learn more about NASA's plans for the future of exploration.

Educational Activities for Kids (10:00am-4:00pm)
Check out the hands-on activities designed to introduce kids to the exciting world of science.

Hangar Tour (10:00am-4:00pm)
A self-guided tour of NASA Glenn's hangar and the research aircraft that call it home.

Aerospace Bus (5:00-7:00pm)
Relax in comfort and learn about NASA aboard this coach bus that has been transformed into a theater.
