What was the reasoning behind changing Anakin's eyebrows in that final picture...was it to make him more resemble and older Hayden?

That would be my guess...since GL went back and replaced Hayen as the Anakin JEDI spirit. It seems that GL wants the "face" we associate with Anakin Skywalker to be that of Hayden Christensen.

I think it's a disservice to Sebastian Shaw's work on the film...but of course, it's GL's movie "whatcha gonna do?" Confused

"Disservice" might be too mild a word. It's an insult to Sebastian Shaw and to the fans who grew up seeing this man portray Anakin Skywalker. He might as well have replaced him with a hologram of Gallagher for what it's worth. But yeah, you're right Geoff- what can we do? Nothing Evil or Very Mad

I will say one positive thing about the ROTJ changes...I'm glad they only removed the matte lines (from the Rancor) instead of replaced it completely with a CGI creature.

I want to see how this Hayden as the ghost thing is going to be like. All the other ones I don't mind, but the ending one just seems wrong...

i wouldn't be disappointed with Hayden as Ani's spirit, if it weren't for him looking like he's asking George off-camera "am I doing okay?", thus making it look totally staged and not like "natural" acting.

I watched the end celebration scene:

Liked the addition of Naboo and background changes to Coruscant...so much for those rumors Palpatine blows up the jedi temple!

Hayden's jedi spirit addition doesn't look that bad, even though I still wished thay hadn't cut out Sebastian Shaw all together. When Em finally saw it, all the way to Summit Mall we were debating WHY and I still think GL did it as a way of showing the Force/Anakin wants to be remembered (before his fall to the dark side) for what WAS good about him. Basically, when somene you love dies (say for example a grandparent) would they appear to the living as how they were at the moment they died...or as how they want to be remembered? Personally, i kinda dig the idea of my grandparents' together...in whatever kind of after-life you believe in...as the younger versions of themselves that I've seen only in pictures.

But enough of the deep philosophical talk...Hayden WHAT are you looking at??? Confused

I dunno... does that mean when I die at the ripe old age of 90 that my ghost will look like me at 25?

Ani becomes Vader at...what...25 or so? About 20+ years goes by, he's wearing this black armored suit 99.9% of the time, Luke removes his bucket and we have Sebastion Shaw (who was actually around 77 years old in 1983), looking rather old and grey-skinned. Vader / Ani dies, and on Endor you have the spirits of Obi-Wan Kenobi (still looks like Alec Guinness in 1983), Yoda (the little critter was 800 years old or something) and wait... Anakin reverts back to this youthful punk?

It's a shame Mr. Shaw wasn't still alive (he'd be 100 this year) to see that. He's probably spinning in his grave right now Evil or Very Mad I wonder how ticked off his family is by that particular change

Perhaps??? Like I said, depends on your personal beliefs in what happens to us when we die. (I'd like to think so)

"Your destiny lies upon a different path then mine..."
The thing with Obi-Wan I can understand, because when he confronted Vader in AHN...he'd pretty much come to terms with his future. Probably why he was so adiment about Luke not going along with him (Luke would have tried to stop him). So it makes sense that his jedi spirit would be the older Obi-Wan. Anakin had just redeemed himself after years of pain and all the terrible things he'd done; and the Force may have givien him the ability to put that all behind him. Again some deep philosophical stuff to consider.

You know after the first production meeting, where Gl proposed the idea of replacing Shaw with Hayden...Shaw's "jedi spirit" appeared and said: WTF do you mean "digitally removed" ???

I must say I was most glad that most of the movie was untouched. Removal of the eyebrows... kinda pointless, but what do you want? The Hayden ghostie dude was not happy... and Andrew sat up and his head blocked my view when that came up! Liz, Toby, and I shoved his head back down.

I'm rather disappointed that the Jedi Temple shows up in the celebration, I'm not going to lie. Liz, Lauren and I have a rewrite of the prequels going, and the destruction of the Jedi Temple is exquisitely tragic. We were rather hoping that Lucas would turn out something as good to get rid of the temple, but apparently that's not in the books. How disappointing. I was actually looking forward to it.

Speaking of changes to the movie, let's add in the ones my friends and I made. I was foolish enough to mention the existence of the Star Wars "Pants" lines during our viewing of ESB, so throughout all of RotJ, we were just mentally adding in the word "Pants" everywhere. Usually during the most serious scenes. "I understand completely. When comes back, I won't get in the pants." GAHHH!! It was really freaking hilarious. Just watch- the whole lot of us are going to be doing that during Revenge of the Sith, and everyone around us will be annoyed by our peals of laughter.
